Gingerbread Snowflake Cookies

These cookies are one of my favorites of the holiday season. If you are not a fan of gingerbread they are equally as good with sugar cookie dough. 

While the royal icing is still wet, I sprinkled the cookies with fine granulated sugar to give them a frozen look.
